COMPLIANCE MANAGER | INVESTMENT INDUSTRY

Our client, an established specialist infrastructure investment manager, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Compliance Manager to join its Operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior compliance professional to take
ownership of the compliance environment, manage regulatory risk and provide practical guidance to the business and senior stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop and embed compliance frameworks, systems and monitoring plans
•Monitor regulatory and legislative compliance
•Provide compliance guidance, training and awareness
•Maintain regulatory registers, records and reporting
•Investigate potential breaches and prepare compliance reports
•Lead compliance input across key projects and initiatives
•Keep abreast of regulatory developments impacting investment management and private equity

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
•Relevant degree (BCom, LLB or equivalent)
•8+ years’ relevant compliance experience
•Strong South African investment-industry regulatory expertise
•Experience within asset management, private equity, investment management or financial services
•FSCA-approved Compliance Officer designation advantageous
•Strong working knowledge of FAIS, FICA, CISCA, Pension Funds Act, Regulation 28 and POPIA
•A mature, confident and solutions-focused approach
•Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
•High levels of integrity, initiative and accountability
