Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Trade Mark Attorney / Consultant who is an all-rounder with strong experience across trade mark prosecution, advisory, and dispute resolution.
This role is ideal for a professional who can independently manage portfolios while contributing strategically to client growth and brand protection.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Mark Prosecution & Portfolio Management
Conduct trade mark availability searches
Advise on registrability and filing strategies
Prepare and file trade mark applications
Manage prosecution, including responding to office actions and objections.
Oversee renewals, recordals, and portfolio maintenance
Advisory & Strategy
Provide clients with strategic IP advice aligned to their commercial objectives
Draft opinions on registrability, infringement, and risk.
Assist with brand protection strategies
Disputes & Enforcement
Handle oppositions, cancellations, and settlement negotiations.
Draft cease and desist letters and settlement agreements (including coexistence agreements)
Support and manage trade mark litigation matters (experience advantageous)
Client & Business Development
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Contribute to proposals, pitches, and client onboarding
Support thought leadership, training, or client workshops where required
Minimum Requirements
LLB degree (required)
Admitted Attorney
Trade Mark Practitioner experience (3+ years preferred)
Proven experience in trade mark prosecution and portfolio management and litigation
Exposure to oppositions, enforcement, and dispute resolution
Strong drafting and communication skills
