Digital Media Coordinator

HIVSA is hiring: Digital Media Coordinator (Ref: GP-DMC-26)

For over 20 years, HIVSA has worked alongside the Gauteng Departments of Health and Social Development to empower individuals and communities facing socio-economic and health challenges. We're now looking for a creative storyteller to help us share that impact.

The role
This is a hands-on position focused on storytelling. Reporting to the Social Media Campaigns Manager, you will document and share the stories of HIVSA's programmes, personally shooting, editing, designing and publishing the majority of our content across all platforms. You'll also promote HIVSA and its programmes, support marketing communications, report on content performance and supervise our digital media interns.

What we're looking for
• A diploma or degree in Marketing, Multimedia Design, Digital Media or Graphic Design
• At least 2 years' experience in digital marketing, social media content creation or multimedia design, ideally in the NGO or health sector
• Hands-on skills in photography, videography, video editing and graphic design, including CapCut (or similar) and Canva
• A portfolio of content you have personally shot, edited and designed
• Experience supervising or mentoring interns or junior staff
• A valid driver's licence (held for more than 3 years) and a police clearance certificate

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng (hybrid)
Contract: 9-month fixed term, 1 November 2026 to 31 July 2027
