Job Description

As a Global Technical Service Engineer – Material Handling, you are a key technical expert supporting Epiroc’s global markets. Your mission is to ensure smooth machine start‑ups, effective troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and customers through various communication channels.
  • Conduct technical trainings, both theoretical and practical, for technicians and customers.
  • Execute First‑on‑Market (FoM) start-ups and perform machine installations where applicable.
  • Contribute to product safety work and continuous product improvement (CPI) activities.
  • Participate in machine testing, verification, and evaluations to secure product performance and serviceability.
  • Create and maintain technical training material, machine system descriptions, and related documentation.
  • Review and contribute to updates of technical manuals, service instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert and collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other internal functions to drive development initiatives.
  • Set up and execute technical support plans to ensure customer satisfaction and knowledge development within the network.

This role requires a unique blend of hands‑on technical ability and analytical, office‑based work - solving issues, writing reports, and contributing to long‑term product development.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Technical education (university degree or equivalent experience) within mechanics, electrics, driveline systems, or similar fields.
  • Good understanding of machinery, preferably heavy equipment, production testing, automotive mechanics, or similar industries.
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in hydraulics, electrics, driveline systems, or previous hands‑on machine work is highly valued, though deep specialization is not required - we will help you grow into the role.
