IT Technician

Empire Fleet Group is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated IT Technician to join our internal IT team based in Sasolburg.

We’re a practical, do-it-yourself department looking for someone who enjoys investigating problems, finding solutions and taking ownership. Your first instinct should be to resolve an issue—not immediately escalate it.

The role covers a broad range of responsibilities, including:

* End-user support
* Microsoft 365 administration
* Windows and Active Directory
* Server maintenance
* Networking and infrastructure projects
* VoIP systems
* Support across multiple business locations

Minimum requirements:

* At least three years’ IT support experience
* Experience with Windows, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Basic networking knowledge
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Valid driver’s licence
* Own reliable transport

Experience with Proxmox VE, Hyper-V, Azure/Entra ID, VoIP systems, Linux, CCTV or access control systems will be advantageous.

Please note:

* Travel between Sasolburg, Randburg, Kempton Park, Centurion and Cape Town will be required.
* Participation in a standby/on-call rotation forms part of the role.
* Our team works beyond traditional IT boundaries and assists wherever needed to get the job done.
