Amathuba Collective is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organised and reliable finance professional who is ready to build their experience in a dynamic organisation and play an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.
The role
As our Junior Bookkeeper, you will support the day-to-day financial administration of the organisation, including:
- Processing and capturing financial transactions
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assisting with payroll-related financial administration
- Supporting monthly financial reporting
- Preparing documentation for audits and funder reporting
- Assisting with compliance and financial administration
- Ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and up to date
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or a related field
- Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting/payroll systems will be advantageous
- A professional, confidential and accountable approach to financial information
