Natural Addibas Mainframe Consultant

We are seeking four experienced Natural / Adabas Mainframe Consultants to join our client's team, with two positions based in Gauteng and two in Cape Town.

The successful candidates will have strong hands-on experience in Natural mainframe development and Adabas database infrastructure. Experience with VisionPLUS and exposure to the retail or banking industry will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and support applications using Natural on IBM Mainframe platforms.
• Work with Adabas database infrastructure to support reliable data storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Perform application development, debugging, testing, and maintenance.
• Investigate and resolve application and database-related incidents.
• Support mainframe application integration and data processing activities.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, database administrators, and other technical stakeholders.
• Support ongoing system enhancements and production support activities.
  

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in Natural mainframe development.
• Strong experience with Adabas database infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe environments and application support processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
