Job Opportunity: Portfolio Manager (AA)

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager (AA) to join our team in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

This is a strategic role focused on driving growth, strengthening broker relationships, and delivering sustainable portfolio performance across Commercial and Personal Lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business and sales plans aligned to company objectives.
Manage and grow broker and binder portfolios to achieve profitability, retention, and growth targets.
Build strong broker and partner relationships through regular engagement and business development initiatives.
Analyse portfolio trends, identify opportunities, and implement proactive underwriting interventions.
Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, governance controls, and risk appetite.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless service and portfolio support.

Requirements:
Grade 12; insurance/technical qualification advantageous.
Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ technical insurance experience across Commercial & Personal Lines.
Strong business development and portfolio management background.
Proven broker relationship experience.
RE5 required; RE1 advantageous (to be obtained post‑appointment).
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Ability to travel as needed.
