A well-established consulting engineering firm is looking for a skilled professional to join its Cape Town team.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Planning, design and contract administration of engineering and building projects from inception to completion
• Preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications and tender documents
• Leading internal project teams of designers and draughting personnel
• Managing and quality-checking project deliverables
• Reviewing technical work prepared by junior and intermediate engineers
• Preparing project, technical and progress reports
• Conducting structural condition assessments
• Managing structural works and contract administration on site
• Leading site and technical meetings
• Handling technical queries and assisting with dispute resolution
• Communicating with clients and other professional team members
• Supporting project safety and environmental requirements

🔹 Minimum Requirements
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
✅ Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
✅ Minimum 2 years’ verifiable post-registration experience
✅ Experience in planning, design and contract administration of building and engineering projects
✅ Strong understanding of engineering design codes and technical standards
✅ Excellent communication and client-facing skills
✅ Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
✅ Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence

🔹 Advantageous Experience with:
• Bulk water reservoirs
• Water treatment works
• Stormwater management infrastructure
• Water-retaining structures
• Reinforced concrete and steel framed structures
• Design team management
• Master Series or Prokon
• ACC Docs / ACC Build
• Revit and AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
