This position is a new opportunity in our company.
We are looking for a senior process engineer with experience working within a Mineral Processing plant, ideally related to flotation. The candidate will play a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary equipment commissioning and optimization team at various sites around the world. The candidate will lead pilot plant tests, analyze test results, and develop circuit mass balances for design. The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of mineral processing operations, a passion for technology, and be comfortable with exploring and developing technology. As this role requires 15-30% travel, those applying should enjoy traveling and be excited about working on different sites with different minerals across the world.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and optimization of flotation equipment.
- Lead, plan, and coordinate pilot plant test work focused on circuit design and development.
- Structure and analyze data as part of optimization and results review.
- Producing technical documentation (e.g., reports, manuals, publications).
- Training other process engineers.
- Led R&D and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve products and existing projects.
- Traveling to mineral processing sites across the world (15-30% travel is typical)
Qualifications/Requirements
- An Engineering Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- A postgraduate degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering will be beneficial.
- A postgraduate degree in General or Project Management will be beneficial.
- Over 10 years of experience within the mining and metallurgy industry.
- Experience in mineral processing and operations.
- Experience in minerals processing laboratories.
- Experience in process design and project execution.
- Proficient in Excel. A data analytics background and other programming languages will be beneficial.
- Ability to communicate well in English, both written and verbally.
- Spanish and or Portuguese is an asset.
