We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter to join a leading insurance environment in Cape Town.

🔹 3+ years’ technical commercial underwriting experience
🔹 FAIS compliant – 60 credits
🔹 RE5 essential
🔹 Strong commercial & financial acumen
🔹 Expert knowledge of underwriting principles
🔹 Strong understanding of the SA insurance/reinsurance market
🔹 Experience underwriting medium to high-complexity risks
🔹 Knowledge of regulatory & legislative requirements
🔹 Proven ability to optimise underwriting performance at policy & portfolio level
The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new and existing policies within delegated authority, providing technical support to brokers and customers, driving retention and contributing to profitable growth.
