Web Developer

This is a freelance/part-time Junior to Mid-Level Web Designer (WordPress & Elementor Pro) role based in Cape Town. It's hybrid, so you'll split your time between our office and working from home. We need someone who can take a site from idea to polished front end quickly, and who brings fresh, creative ideas while doing it. You'll design layouts and UI in Figma, build and finish sites in Elementor Pro, set up Inn Style booking integrations, and refine user journeys so visitors book. Our sites go live in days, not months, so you'll need to work fast, solve problems on the fly, and still get the details right.

What We're Looking For

- 1–4 years' experience designing and building websites (a strong portfolio matters more than years).

- Advanced Elementor Pro skills (essential): Theme Builder, global styles, templates, popups, forms, and dynamic content.

- Strong front-end design skills: layout, typography, colour, and a sharp eye for detail.

- Fast, creative thinking: you can turn a brief into a standout design quickly and finish the front end to a high standard without heavy hand-holding.

- A solid grasp of UX: you think about how visitors move through a site and what gets them to book.

- Solid WordPress experience.

- Comfortable in Figma: wireframes, mockups, and component libraries.

- Responsive, mobile-first design that looks sharp on every device.

- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; basic JavaScript is a bonus.

- Basic understanding of site speed, SEO best practices, and accessibility.

- Able to manage your own hours, meet tight turnarounds, and communicate clearly with the team and non-technical clients.

- Experience with hospitality, booking platforms, or WooCommerce is an advantage.

- A qualification in web/graphic design, UX, or a related field is nice to have, but a strong portfolio counts just as much.
